Taking the first left exit
- Position on the left lane as you approach the roundabout.
- Check your rear mirror to see what’s behind you and your left mirror for cyclists.
- Signal left.
- Take the first left, moving to the left lane of the exit.
Taking an intermediate left exit (up to and including 12 o’clock)
- Position on the left lane as you approach the roundabout.
- Check your rear mirror see what’s behind you and your left mirror for cyclists.
- Don’t signal on approach.
- On approaching the penultimate exit (the exit before your intended exit), check rear and side mirror to see if it’s safe to exit.
- If safe, signal left and take the exit, moving into the left lane of the exit.
Taking a right exit (past 12 o’clock)
- Position on the right lane as you approach the roundabout.
- Look at your rear mirror to see what’s behind you and your right mirror for cyclists.
- Signal right.
- On approaching the penultimate exit (the exit before your intended exit), check rear and side mirror to see if it’s safe to exit.
- If safe, signal left and take the exit, moving into the left lane of the exit if available.
