Speed limits
Never exceed the speed limit. Always keep an eye out for speed limit changes, especially when you’re changing roads.
Road markings
Road markings are mandatory, not suggestions. For example, if your lane shows an arrow pointing left, it means you can only turn left, not go straight or turn right. Similarly, if it shows a right turn, you can only turn right, not go straight or turn left.
Lanes
Always use the left lane unless you’re overtaking or you’re preparing to turn right soon (roughly within 500 yards or so).
Narrow roads
Give way to oncoming cars if the road is too narrow for you both to use and you’re able to safely move to the left to create more space.
