Select the reverse gear
Look at rear mirror to see what’s behind you and your side mirror (the side you’re parked on) to see your position relative to the kerb so you can move the car to the desired position.
Reverse very slowly and keep looking at your rear and side mirrors to see your position relative to anything behind you and to the kerb.

Remember that you want to steer in the direction that you want the back of the car to go to.

So if you need to move more to the left, steer left. If you need to move more to the right, steer right.
