Driving: Turn right

TLDR: MSM (Mirrors – Signal – Manouevre)

• Check mirrors
  • Check your interior mirror to see what’s directly behind you.
  • Check your right door mirror for overtaking vehicles or cyclists.
• Signal right
  • Once you’ve checked your mirrors to confirm it’s safe to turn right, signal right to show your intent to other road users.
• Position vehicle
  • Move to the centre of the road if a single lane or to the right-hand lane if there are multiple lanes. Keep your wheel straight until you actually turn.
• Final look and turn
  • Take a final look at the junction to confirm it’s safe to move and then turn right.
