FCA Trading name

An FCA trading name refers to business names used by FCA-regulated firms that are different from their officially registered company names.

For example, a firm might be registered with Companies House as ACME Financial Services LTD but it may operate to the public as WiseMoney Advice. In that case, WiseMoney Advice is the trading name.

FCA firms must declare all trading names to the FCA so that these are listed on their FCA register profile.
