AWS Cognito: What are user pools?

User pools are user directories that provide login and registration options for your app. When you create a user pool, you can specify authentication providers like Google or Facebook to let users sign up or sign in using their existing accounts.

User pools can be linked to Cognito identity pools so you can determine what level of access your app’s end users will have to your AWS resources.
